The artist living in Iraq produces contemporary and abstract works. Showcasing a motif of individuality, collective expression, and beauty, Shabarek has launched his own art label, filled with a raw passion for all that inspires. The artist created their own gallery acquisition as a translation of his own chain of thought. On certain days, he contrasts his distinctive clashing colors with the unrest of Lebanese society but mostly likes to leave the interpretation open to the audience. His works are characterized by wild brushstrokes and unusual color combinations. We can describe these artifacts as the endless touch of spatulas or knives, showing pearl powders and glossy paint. Adding depth and contradictory emotions to every brushstroke, Shabarek’s work powerfully conveys differences. On the canvas, he equates feelings of anxiety with calmness.
